Sage Sound Singers have been performing in the Ashcroft, Cache Creek, area of BC since 2008 when Michelle Reid started a small SATB choir, performing one or two concerts each year. In September 2016, Sage Sound Singers incorporated as a non-profit society called Twisted Desert Music Society. As of 2023 we’ve been entertaining our communities for over twelve years and have grown to be well known (and loved!) in the Ashcroft, Cache Creek, Clinton, Spences Bridge, and Kamloops areas. We are known for Michelle’s eclectic selection of music that includes pop, folk, Broadway, and classical. In 2023 we performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City (as part of a larger group) to much acclaim and success. Current projects include collaboration with Winding Rivers Performance Art Society (W.R.A.P.S.) on music direction for two plays in 2023 and 2024. Many of our Sage Sound Singers choristers will be performing in these productions.
Our Mission Statement:
The mission of the Twisted Desert Music Society is to serve as a vibrant cultural cornerstone in the heart of the BC’s interior, dedicated to enriching the lives of our communities through the transformative power of music, art, and culture. We strive to create inclusive and accessible experiences that celebrate diversity, foster creativity, and evoke joy for all who engage with us. Through our performances, collaborations, and outreach initiatives, we aim to inspire, uplift, and unite people across the region, creating a lasting legacy of harmony and connection
